The decision sets 31 October 2026 for the operator to publish the special specifications on its website, and 31 December 2026 for announcing the start date of the digital portal. Systems installed before the portal opens must be declared within 30 days of that start.

How many watts may a balcony solar system have?

Can I install only a battery, without solar panels?

Yes. The framework allows standalone storage systems, fixed or mobile, for households and businesses, exclusively without exporting energy to the grid. The nominal power of the storage inverter may reach up to 100% of the agreed capacity of your supply.

Do I need a contract or permit from DEDDIE?

No connection contract is required for a plug-in system. What is required is a valid YDE certificate, a declaration by the responsible installer or engineer that the special specifications are met, and notification of the network operator through its special digital portal, where you sign in with your taxisnet credentials.

When can installations actually start?

Will the energy I produce be sold to the grid?

No. These systems are for self-consumption only, with no injection of energy into the grid. The benefit depends on how much of your own consumption you cover, so we size the system after looking at your supply and your habits, rather than quoting a percentage in advance.
